Section A 1 Housing - Agree with housing south of town but not north west
as no road access. Suggest more housing along Swindon Road, opposite Knoll
House and behind Athelstan House/ PCT. Also possible new road from Whychurch
Farm to stump end Reeds Farm Road will give new access with new housing north
of road ( and possible supermarket) leaving land south of new road for
recreation. Section 3. Shopping - Any supermarket will add car journeys through
the town. Avon Mills site will especially increase cars through old Town.
People do not use Supermarkets for light shopping (in general). Prefer
redevelop present Co-Op site Gloucester Rd and expand. It is more central to
housing for parking and car journeys.
