I was born in Kent - the once Garden of England, so lets
prevent what happened there from happening here in Malmesbury and
Wiltshire. Please Make Malmesbury A Protected
Heritage Site (UNESCO) as it is so rich in
history being the oldest royal borough in the country dating far back.In this
way we can protect it against unwanted building in the Antique Quarter which is
Malmesbury and it's green belt surroundings. Hopefull Waitrose near the Silk
Mills will NOT materialise as the consequences would be devastating. A
supermarket, another one if really necessary, should be built by the garden centre or by the
Estates conveniently for the families there. A 'park and ride' would be good
for future visitors who may come thronging to see authentic Malmesbury in all
it's glory, museum, galleries, shops, Abbey etc.(A vision of the future!). I
agree with the carefully managed housing and especially for the elderly and
Dysons needs but a very careful study needed before building Estates and
everything else as it will all have big effects on the whole infrastructure.
