25 April-13 DRAFT PLAN SECT 1 In agreement with draft
plan in the light of having no choice but to have more building. Strongly feel
that Malmesbury Town in relation to the landscape around it should be
interfered with as little as possible from the hill top to the river valleys.
It is very special the way the old town sites in the landscape. DRAFT PLAN SECT
3 I am not in favour of another supermarket but if we are to have one most
definitely would support one which at least gives some chance of users also
using the town centre amenities. I would support a redevelopments of the
Gloucester Road Co-op or the Avon Mills site. I support all the points in this
section - parking should be free and in the end if businesses cannot fill empty
town premises then sadly I feel they should be allowed change of use, as empty
delapidated premises do no good at all to the town creating a bad impression
to visitors. DRAFT PLAN SECTIONS 5 and 6 I particularly support the protection
of The Worthies and all the points mentioned in this section. DRAFT PLAN
SECTION 8 In total agreement with all points. TO FINISH. The Town of Malmesbury
needs caring for and protecting when there are ao few towns left in the country
which haven't suffered from over-development and which have such a history and
such a special place in the surrounding landscape. The town centre and the
views from it and towards it from the countryside should be preserved for the
future enjoymnet of all those who live here and all those who enjoy viviting
these special places in the English countryside. It is not to late to preserve
the exceptional 'specialness' of Malmesbury. It would seem that development in
recent years has had no benefit on the town centre and infrastructures are
