24-4-13 I am very happy with Co-op as a supermarket!
They have good origins and serve the community. Having said that I would like
another small one if it does not close the present shops down. But not built in
any field. If I had a choice I would put a Waitrose on a brownfield site
alongside business units - say at the current Garden Centre site. Buses run
around there all day currently! And a coffee shop here would be good as would
toilets. I would like to see wealthy people arrive in town to revive the High
Street. It bothers me having been born here, and still live here, to see so
many empty shops. I know the rates are very high for businesses but could this
be challenged. Could there be start-up rents for new shop businesses? Re:
SCHOOLS Is there land at the comprehensive school spare to build a Primary
School? Re; HOUSES With regard to houses. I like small cul-de-sacs, especially
when built where existing houses cannot be saved. I do not like houses to be
built on green fields.
