Why did we invite the Princes Foundation to help us?
- THEY HELPED US TO ENGAGE WITH EACH OTHER BY BRINGING THE RIGHT PEOPLE TOGETHER TO HELP CREATE LONG TERM PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS FOR OUR BUILT ENVIRONMMENT
- THEY EDUCATED US ABOUT GOOD URBAN DESIGN AND PLANNING AND HOW IT INFLUENCES THE BUILDING OF COMMUNITY
- THE PRINCES FOUNDATION WORKSHOPS HAVE HELPED US TO START TO REALISE OUR VISION OF MALMESBURY FOR THE NEXT 15 YEARS. WE WILL USE THAT VISION TO HELP CREATE OUR NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN!
Government has funded us to gain the expertise of this educational charity. The Prince’s Foundation teaches and demonstrates sustainable development placing community engagement at the heart of their work for communities such as ours. It is important to recognise that this is a “Vision” rather than a plan. The “Vision” should inspire our neighbourhood steering group to focus on a design led plan rather than a developer led plan. All aspects of our plan will be fully scrutinised with regard to all kinds of related infrastructure. The Princes Foundation published full details of this vision .
