MNSG Housing & Supermarket Site Selection Scores Report The report is
commendable. I would ask that the group reconsiders its evaluation of the
Waitrose site in relation to
(i) Designation of Site and
(ii) Heritage Views.
(i) The proposed store is in a conservation area. This should attract a
Criterion Value of 10.
(ii) The store will be clearly visible from the Back
Steps and will reduce the quality of this important view out of town. This
should attract a Criterion Value of a minimum of 5. These adjustments would
take the score for the store to a minimum of 515 or 565. This would properly
emphasise the absolute unsuitability of the site and that it also fails in
comparison to developing the Co-Op site or at Station Yard. Thank you for the
opportunity to make this comment.
Test response from Cllr Simon Killane to verify that the system is functioning properly

I realise that is a personal 'NIMBY' view and not objective. My address is 'RIVER VIEW'. From the back of our house we look out on to the river and fields. I am now faced with the prospect of looking out onto housing and

Housing I feel that the site between the Junior School/ Dyson (near the Tennis Club would be a good choice, with potential for good access roads and without affecting the 'skyline; or expanding the urban boundary. Building more homes close to the Hospital/ Health Centre would be my second preferred site. Supermarket - of the

I support the draft plan and wishe all who have worked on it the best of luck with it. Thank You. I always feared the Neighbourhood Planning initiative by National Government would turn out to be a sop to the principles of Localism. I do hope following recent events re: The Gleesons Appeal that I will be proved wrong!
Very good Plan and well thought through.
Section 3. A 'Town Team' has been suggested before. We currently have a number of organisations all pulling in different
