The Draft Malmesbury Neighbourhood Plan was Independently Examined at a public hearing on Thursday the 18th of September 2014. The Independent Examiner has a town planning background and has had a long career as a planning inspector. I have uploaded an unedited audio recording of all the proceedings from the day. Please note no attempt has been made to edit ANY of the recordings and so the quality is not always great. I hope this small reduction in quality is compensated for by your ability to hear every detail of the examiners questioning during the day.

It is important to note that the Examiner focused on the draft proposals in Our Draft Neighbourhood Plan as officially consulted on and submitted for his examination.

Simon Killane Chair of MNSG says:
"Over 2 years of intense work aimed at positively shaping Malmesbury's development future was scrutinised by a highly experienced Independent examiner on Thursday. He listened carefully to the concerns of local residents and developers and he focused on every sentence scribed in our Draft Plan. I and the other steering group members listened carefully to every comment that he made and are now busy making minor corrections to make sure that he is satisfied with the plan before he issues his recommendations. This is Real Localism in action and another step on our journey to become the first Neighbourhood in Wiltshire to have a real say in shaping our development future."
