Comments can be made during the consultation period starting from 9am on Wednesday 24th October and finishing at 5pm on Friday 7th December 2012.
Why are we consulting? In order to prepare a neighbourhood plan, the first formal stage is to designate the neighbourhood area (see Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012). , The ‘qualifying body’ (usually the town or parish council - see neighbourhood planning guide) has to apply to Wiltshire Council to designate a neighbourhood area, state its reasons and submit a map of the proposed area. Following receipt of the application, Wiltshire Council must consult for at least six weeks before making a decision.
Following this consultation period Wiltshire Council will consider the comments received in determining the application to ensure that the area is appropriate. The decision will be published on the Council’s website.
How to respond: We encourage people to view and respond to our consultations on-line via this portal but can also accept representations by e-mail via firstname.lastname@example.org
